This is was how we dressed up last year for Halloween!
We were Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein!
One day Billy will have a haunted house and people will come from
miles and miles away to see it. I'm serious!!!
Tomorrow is Halloween!!! We have something scary planned for our costumes. I will upload pictures of them sometime soon! I can't wait to hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters and give them a little "spook."

A word or two about myself

To begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Arab, Alabama, home of the Arabian Nights (we were once almost on ESPN for beating the record for most losses in a row by a high school football team). Growing up, I always planned to live in a big city, but the older I get, the more I see how great it is to live in a small town.

I am married to the love of my life. We started out as friends, and the rest is history...I must say that it is kind of crazy just how similar we are. All I can say is that I am incredibly blessed to have him in my life and I have so much respect for the kind of man he is. I can honestly say that my life is centered around God and I am continually trying to do His will in each and every way. I have found that when I don't feel like things are going my way, it's because I'm not allowing things to go God's way, and the second I gave him the reins (I remember the moment completely), it made all the difference in the world.

I come from a wonderful family. I have two amazing sisters, a brother-n-law, two nephews, and two of the most genuine and understanding parents you could ask for. My parents are now two of my closest friends and I have enjoyed this transition in adulthood.

I have two other parents (Mama H and Daddy H) as well as a sister-n-law named Ashley and a brother-n-law named Adam. This is Billy's family, but I can truly say I feel like one of their own. Mama H and Daddy H are two of the most giving and God-fearing people I have ever met and I am always learning from their examples. Ashley has developed into one of my best friends and I am lucky to have her as a sister! :)

It's important to note at this point that my husband and I are two of the most competitive people you will ever meet. It doesn't matter if it's college football, cards, or thumb war...We HAVE to win.

In the Beginning

I must say that I am new to the whole blogging experience. It's going to take me a while to figure out all the ins and outs, but I think it will be worthwhile. I have always loved to write, so this should just fuel the fire. I was addicted to facebook in college and now that I'm in my mid-twenties, this just seemed like the next step...I would like to thank my sister-n-law for introducing me to this process. Ashley, if I lose my job for spending endless hours working on my blog, you will have to allow me to be an assistant coach for your basketball team. :) Thanks in advance.
